If you are a Registered Nurse and are practising in a Canadian province or territory, you are eligible to join AOHNA!
To be eligible for Active Membership, you must be a Registered Nurse
and be a registrant in good standing with the College and Association of
Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) and:
- Are employed in an Occupational Health Nursing role; or
- Are have designation as an OHNC or COHNC.
Only Active Members in good standing are eligible to hold office
on the Board of Directors, Chair a Committee and vote at the Annual
General Meeting (AGM).
To be eligible for Associate Membership, you must be a Registered
Nurse and be a registrant in good standing with a Provincial Licensing
Body outside of Alberta, or are pending registration with CARNA, and:
- Are employed beyond the scope of AOHNA Standards or Practice with an interest in Occupational Health Nursing; or
- Are a Non-Occupational Health Nursing Student.
Associate Members are eligible to serve on a Committee and attend the AGM in a non-voting capacity.
To be eligible for Student Membership, you
must be enrolled as a student in an OHNC training program and have
completed less than three (3) courses. If you have completed more than
three (3) courses, you would apply for the Active Membership. Please
note that you will be required to submit a current Transcript from your
Student Members are eligible to serve on a Committee and attend the AGM in a non-voting capacity.
