AOHNA Membership Options

Are you interested in becoming a member of AOHNA?  We currently have two (2) membership types as follows:

 

Active Member - Active Members are those who...

A Registered nurse

  •  Hold current active registration in good standing with CARNA

Plus any of the following

  • Are employed in any occupational health nursing role as defined by the AOHNA Standards of Practice (full time / part time / casual)
  • Are an OHN (holding OHNC or COHNC) or equivalent
  • Are a Student in an OHNC or equivalent program in any capacity (anywhere in Canada) having completed 3 courses or more

 

Associate Member - Associate Members are those who...

Registered nurse

  • Are former active registrants with CARNA, or
  • Are current active registrants in good standing of another Canadian Provincial Nursing Licensing Body, or
  • Are pending Alberta registrants with CARNA (recently moved to Alberta)

Plus any of the following:

  • Are employed beyond the scope of AOHNA Standards or Practice with an interest in occupational health nursing
  • Are Non-Occupational Health, Nursing students
  • Are Students in an OHNC or Equivalent program in any capacity (anywhere in Canada) having completed less than 3 courses

 

Privileges of Membership

 

Active Members have the following membership privileges:

  • Eligible to hold office on Provincial Executive
  • Eligible to Chair a Committee
  • Eligible to vote at the AGM
  • Eligible to serve on committees
  • Access to Member resources on the website
  • Access to AOHNA publications & notifications
  • Receive Member Rates to events, conferences, etc.

 

Associate Members have the following membership privileges:

  • Right to serve on committees (except as Chairperson)
  • Access to Member resources on the website
  • Access to AOHNA publications & notifications
  • Receive Member Rates to events, conferences, etc.
