About the Presenters:
Beth Woytas RN BScN CIPP/C
Beth Woytas is an RN and Director of Programs for Okaki, an Alberta-based public health informatics company. After graduating in 2005 from the University of Alberta, Beth gained extensive public health experience working in a diverse range of clinical practice settings including occupational, well baby, travel and post-secondary immunization clinics and as a CDC nurse specialist. In 2014, Beth was the project lead for the first-ever fully electronic mass influenza immunization clinic in Alberta. This experience sparked a passion for eHealth and health information privacy and she now works in this exciting field full-time.
Cathy McDermott, B.S.N., R.N. Senior Public Health Consultant, OKAKI Health Intelligence
Cathy is a RN who graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, with over 35 years of experience focused on public health and immunization, in settings ranging from point of care to provincial policy departments to industry. In 2014, Cathy joined OKAKI Health Intelligence, providing professional consultation to this health informatics company. Interests include improving access to immunization, immunization data quality and registries, and public health surveillance.
